Every year the Eyde/Ellis birthday tradition is that the whole family goes out for dinner together, and whoever's birthday it is gets to select the restaurant. This year for my birthday I'm shaking things up a little bit.  I've always wanted to know what is the best pizza in St. Petersburg.  There are many great pizza places, but which one is the best?  I figured the only way to really know is to do a blind taste test, and that's what I'm doing for my birthday dinner.  I narrowed it down to four candidates, and my family is being directed to pick up a plain cheese pizza on their way to my house.

Here are the candidates.

I'm really starting to get pumped about the start of the Indy Car Series 2010 season (err...I should say the Izod Indy Car Series), but in particular I'm really excited about the Grand Prix of St. Petersburg.  I can't believe the race is less than three months away.

For the last two years the race has been one of my major photography events.  Here's a flickr slideshow of my photos from the 2009 race.

The Honda Grand Prix of St. Petersburg came up during Christmas dinner, and my father-in-law mentioned that the American La Mans Series would not be racing in St. Petersburg this year.  Apparently the news is a few months old, but I have verified that it is in fact true.  While I wasn't a huge fan, after seeing it for several years with the Indy cars in St. Pete, I was learning about ALMS, and it was starting to grow on me.  I will certainly miss ALMS this year.

The schedule for Honda Grand Prix of St Petersburg 2009 is posted.  Looks to be about the same as last year.  Last year I went Friday and Saturday.  Maybe this year I'll go to the actual race on Sunday.
